Eddie Sue Lee Coleman age 81, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Monday, October 14, 2024. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Rev. James and Hester Harris Lee. She was a lifelong resident of northwest Georgia and graduated from Rossville High School. She was previously employed with Salem Carpet and was a caretaker for people with special needs. She was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid reader and usually read two books a week. She enjoyed her annual trips to the beach and stopping to play slot machines on the way to Florida. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents: Charles and Etta Harris, husband: Jerry Don Coleman, daughter: Donna Lynn Brookshire, grandsons: Joshua and Jeffrey Brookshire. She is survived by her daughters: Darlene (Dan) Flanders of Hixson, TN, Denise Wood of Rossville, GA, Susan (Yack) Barrett of Chickamauga, GA, Carla (Jamie) Hodnett of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Darla (Ken) Brooks of Chickamauga, GA, sister: Cheryl Scheivelhud of Ringgold, GA; brother: Jerry (Christen) Brooks of Rossville, GA, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; nephews: Jamie and Jason Scheivelhud, along with several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday – October 20, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of NHC of Rossville for the love and care they provided to our mother.
