Edna Doris Jones Obituary
Edna Doris Jones, age 91, of LaFayette, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Opal Hilburn; parents, Guss and Janie Jones; and siblings, Ruby Hilburn, Frances Gowan, CL Jones, Peggy Stone, Franklin Jones, and Wesley Jones.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Tommy) Peppers; grandchildren, Kim, Chris, April, Jamie, Christy, and Tommy “PeeDab”; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Powell officiating.
Interment will take place at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are Chris Davis, Eugene Mitchell, Steve Owens, Avery Davis, Cody Millican, Cooper Mitchell, and Davadrion “Buck” Davenport.
Honorary pallbearers are Jaidyn Simpson, Keshia Simpson, Trey Simpson, Tyson Simpson, Devan Millican, Kaleb Millican, Cassiddy Mitchell, Malisha Snow, Aleacia Hilburn, and Deonte Hilburn.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday prior to the service from 12 p.m. to the service hour at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
