Eric Garmany

Eric Wesley Garmany, 47, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. He was born on August 10, 1978, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Eric was a graduate of Ringgold High School, Class of 1996, and was of the Baptist faith. He dedicated 21 years of service to Roper Corporation, where he worked as a team leader.

Eric was incredibly talented musically. He enjoyed writing and singing music and could play virtually any instrument. Known for his quick wit and dark humor, he brought laughter to those around him. He was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves and had a well-known love for hot peppers. Above all, Eric cherished spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mona Green; his grandparents, Gerald and Shirley Garmany and Ray McCrary.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Lily Mae Garmany; his children, Jordan Rachelle Garmany, Cahlee Brooke Garmany, Zack McGill, and Isaac Kirkland; his father, Doyle (Angie) Garmany; his sisters, Danielle (Michael) Roberson and Heather (Chris) Adams; his brother, Alan (Jerrika) Garmany; his grandmother, Myrtle Hughes; his uncles, Donald (Kathy) Garmany and Cornell McCrary; his aunt, Anita Whittemore; sisters-in-law, Kindall, Kylee, Emilie Guerra and many other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Sunday from 12:00-2:00 PM at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory.
