Grace Imogene Teague

Mrs. Grace Imogene Teague age 97, of Rossville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of Rossville and a member of South Rossville Baptist Church. Mrs. Grace worked at Cutter Laboratories for fifteen years, until their closing at which time she began substitute teaching in the Walker County School system. She had a heart for caring for children as she enjoyed working in the church nursery and spent ten plus years substituting at Ridgeland High School in the special needs program. Mrs. Grace was a determined woman and took night classes at Rossville High School in her late forties to finish her final year of high school and earn her diploma.
Mrs. Grace’s most cherished time was spent traveling with her late husband, Ernest. They loved traveling to unique places on each trip. Never visiting the same place twice, they sought out places that neither of them had visited before. A few of their most memorable trips were a family trip to Hawaii, a cruise and train ride in Alaska, and a boat ride to Niagara Falls. Together, Grace and Ernest also loved watching Nascar every Sunday. Mrs. Grace also loved butterflies and you never knew where she may have hidden them around her house.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Teague; parents, Charles Catlett and Grace Stevens Catlett, as well as seven siblings.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Stephanie (Michael) Flippo and Sharon (James) Gray; four grandchildren, Christopher Flippo, Alyssa Flippo, Sara Gray, and Sean Gray as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
