Gregg Scott Kittle

Gregg Kittle, 66 years old, of Ringgold, GA, went home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday August 26, 2026. Gregg was born and raised in Ringgold and lived there his entire life. After high school, Gregg attended technical trade school pursuing a career in welding and pipe fitting. He worked for Astec Industries for 42 years prior to retiring in 2025. He loved to travel on road jobs for work, and some of his best friendships were formed during that time. Gregg was a lifelong avid outdoorsman. He could be found on the lake or in the woods year-round. His closest friends grew from the mutual love of the outdoors. As a true outdoorsman, his stories of the ones that slipped off the hook or the quick glance at an elusive buck grew every time he told them. Everybody enjoyed a good story, whether around the campfire or just sitting down with him. Gregg was a devoted husband of 46 years, a loving father, and a faithful Christian as a lifelong member of Salem Valley Baptist Church. Gregg was preceded in death by his father Edward “Gene” Kittle, mother Dorothy Kittle, brothers Lloyd and Boyd Kittle, and his sisters-in-law Kathy (Lloyd) and Joyce (Glenn). Gregg is survived by his loving wife Christina, his sons Eric (Holly) and Donald (Summer), his grandchildren Evie Claire, Graham, Tyson, River, and Rose; his twin brother Glenn, and his sister Carolyn (Wayne) Escoe. Visitation will be held at Wilson Stewart Funeral Home, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, GA, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm on 8/30/2026. Graveside Service will be held at Anderson Memorial Gardens, 112 Christian Rd, Ringgold, GA, 11:00 AM on 8/31/2026. Gregg will be remembered for his big laugh, his bigger stories, and a love for his family and friends that never needed to be said out loud. Everyone just knew it.
