Harold Lloyd Selvidge, 86, of Chickamauga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 4, 2024. He was born in Flintstone, Georgia on July 13, 1938 to the late Thomas Herman & Callie Bell Selvidge. He was raised in the Michigan area before moving back to the North Georgia area in 1986 and was of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School, Class of 1956 and had worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Devlig Machine Company for more than 46 years before retiring in 2002. He enjoyed wood working, listening to country music and the occasional cocktail hour. He was known as a very loving and devoted man, who never met a stranger and would always go above and beyond to help anyone in need. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Herman, Glenn, Fred, Kenneth and Ronald Selvidge.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 12 years, Lynn Lorraine Cravener Selvidge; daughters & son-in-law, Deborah & (Michael) Hardacre, Claudia Selvidge and Carrie Beeler; son & daughter-in-law, Scott & (Kathleen) Salter; brother, Charles Selvidge; sister & brother-in-law, Nelta & (Chuck) Pinchard; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.
