Helen D. Fisher
March 15, 1936 - August 9, 2026

Helen D. Fisher, of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday August 9, 2026.

Born on March 15, 1936, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Helen was the daughter of the late John and Addie Harden. Stylish and spunky, she had a special gift for brightening every room she entered. She was always impeccably put together, with perfectly coordinated outfits, lipstick applied, nails painted, and hair beautifully styled.

Helen was the heart of her family - a true matriarch known for her boundless energy, unwavering love, and steadfast devotion to those she cherished most. She shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, Chester Lee Fisher Sr., and together they raised three sons. Her family will always remember her as a woman whose kindness, strength, and unconditional love created a lifetime of treasured memories.

She was a proud and devoted “MiMi”. Her great-grandchildren adored her, and she was their biggest supporter and constant source of love, encouragement, and guidance. Together, they shared countless joyful moments filled with dancing, shopping trips, laughter, and just enough mischief to keep life fun.

Mrs. Fisher was of the Baptist faith and attended Fort Oglethorpe Baptist Church. She retired from Erlanger Hospital after 29 years of dedicated service. Helen had many talents, but she was especially known for her delicious homemade meals, sweet tea, and warm hospitality. If you showed up at her house on a Sunday, you could count on being welcomed in and lovingly persuaded to stay for supper.

Though life on earth will never be the same without her, Helen's family finds peace and comfort in knowing they will see her again one glorious day in Heaven.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her loving sister, Lillian "Billie" Watson; her brother, Johnny L. Harden III; and her grandson, Jacob Fisher.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Chester (Felicia) Fisher Jr. of Rossville, Robert (Kim) Fisher of Ringgold, and Greg (Melissa) Fisher of Hixson; granddaughter, Brittany Knight; grandson, Dustin Foshay; great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Dylan, Bailey, Alexis, Cami, Luna and Ripken; and great-great-grandson, Stetson.

A graveside service honoring the life of Mrs. Helen Fisher will be held at 1 PM Thursday August 13, at Lakewood Memory Gardens South with Rev. Jason Thomas officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-8 Wednesday, August 12, at Heritage Funeral Home.
