Henrietta Peoples Howard Cruse

Henrietta Peoples Howard Cruse, 82, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024. She was born in New Hope, Tennessee, to the late Lonnie and Amanda Peoples. Henrietta was a lifelong resident of the Northwest Georgia area and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in New Hope, Tennessee. Henrietta enjoyed crocheting, gardening, crafting, and decorating, and always enjoyed seeing beautiful flowers. Henrietta was a loving wife and loved her family. She loved to bring the family together, especially on Christmas Eve, for a big dinner, and she made the best baked ham and hot fudge cake. Henrietta was dearly loved by her husband and family, and she will be greatly missed.

Henrietta is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Lee and Amanda Elizabeth Peoples; daughter, Vickie White; siblings, Geraldine Young, Mary Katherine Blevins, Aileen Gothard, Melba Rorex, and Milton Peoples.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Edward “Eddie” Cruse; children, Scott (Carol) Howard of Rossville, Georgia, Billy Howard of Rossville, Georgia, Alan (Rita) Cruse of McDonough, Georgia, Lisa Poss of Stockbridge, Georgia, and Tim (Angie) Cruse of Ringgold, GA; sister, Betty Marshall of Chattanooga, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family has arranged for a time to remember and honor Henrietta. Friends and family are invited to join us on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The funeral service, a time to celebrate Henrietta’s life, will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 1 pm, with Pastor Wayne Chasteen officiating. Following the service, we will proceed to the burial at New Hope Cemetery in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. The family appreciates your prayers and support during this difficult time.
