Joyce Jamerson Lee, 74, of Chickamauga, Georgia, embarked on her life journey on November 4, 1949. She was born in Lafayette, Georgia, to the late Lawrence and Mildred Jamerson. Joyce's life was a beautiful tapestry of experiences. She spent her early years in the Walker County area, then ventured to Florida for several years before returning to her roots in Walker County. She was of the Baptist faith and found joy in cooking, tending to her plants, and shopping. Her love for fishing and spending time with friends was evident in her vibrant personality. Joyce's family was her anchor, and she cherished the moments spent with them during big family gatherings. Her family dearly loved Joyce, and she will be greatly missed.
Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband of many years, Robert Lee Oliver; parents, Lawrence and Mildred Jamerson; and sister, Wanda Lewis.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Robert Oliver of Ellijay, Georgia, Sandra Preston of Rossville, Georgia, and Tammy Oliver of Albany, Oregon; brothers, Payton Jamerson of Cleveland, Tennessee, Terry “Mike” Jamerson of Lakeview, Georgia; sister, Susan Elder of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and grandchildren, Victoria Russo, Olivia Preston, and Tyler Oliver and a great-grandchild on the way.
