Joyce M. Ballard Hixon, age 88 of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was born to the late Gordon Lee Ballard and Thelma Shell Ballard in Chattanooga, was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and attended Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church for many years. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lebron Hixon; and siblings, Charles Ballard, Glenda Collins and Doris Assmann. Joyce is survived by her children, Cathy Diane Marks and Cyndi Kaye (Tony) Turner; sister, Linda Jett; grandchildren, Shane Marks, Kelly Marks, Jordan Price, Bo Price and Chad Price; numerous great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024 in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Fort Oglethorpe Chapel.
