Joyce Thomason Pettitt, 89, of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Joyce was born on May 27, 1937, in Chattanooga, TN, to George and Blanche Thomason. Joyce will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Benjamin C. Pettitt; and her daughter, Marquita “Marti” Sweeney.
She is survived by her son, Benji Pettitt; her grandchildren, Cody Pettitt & Eve Sweeney; her sisters, Eva Bell and Bobbie Creek.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
