September 7, 1955 - December 6, 2024
The world lost a bit of its light when Judy Elaine Miller of Rising Fawn, GA passed away on December 6th, 2024. She lit the world up with her beautiful smile for 69 years.
Judy was born in Lafayette, GA on September 7th, 1955 to Sara Fay and Lem Trivett. She graduated from Central High School in 1973 and married the love of her life, Bill, a few days later on June 5th. Together, Bill and Judy built a home and raised their two beautiful daughters in it. She spent 51 years of her life in that home on Lookout Mountain making a friend out of all those who had the joy of meeting her. In that time, she worked at Rock City, Red Food, Fairyland Elementary School, Eddy’s Quick Stop, and helped run the family-owned MountainTronics alongside her husband. She was a member of Lookout Mountain Seventh Day Adventist Church. In later years, she enjoyed doting on her five precious grandchildren, whom she loved to the moon and back.
Judy was optimistic even in the face of the many hardships she endured and would give the shirt off her back to those less fortunate. She was dearly loved by her family as well as the many whom she considered family, not by blood but by choice.
She was preceded in death by her son William Miller Jr, grandson James Edward Alexander, parents Lem and Sara Fay Trivett, and brother Richard Trivett.
She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Miller; children, Kelly (Kenny) Westermeyer and Karen (Brian) Brock; grandchildren, Katelyn (Chuck) Leiviska, Cullen (Erin) Alexander, Kegan Alexander, Jax Brock, and Lila Brock; son-in-law, James Alexander; and beloved sisters-in-law, Judi (Ron) Bankston and Peggy (Jerry) Higdon. Judy also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Sunday, December 15th at 2pm at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 W Cloud Springs Rd Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742.
