Julia “Judy” Headrick Adkins
January 10, 1946 - October 23, 2024

Julia “Judy” Headrick Adkins, age 78, lifetime resident of Catoosa County, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Mrs. Adkins, daughter of the late Cecil Headrick and Lola Fletcher Headrick, was born January 10, 1946 in Graysville, Georgia. She was Baptist by faith and longtime member of New Friendship Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia. Mrs. Adkins worked many years in accounting within the carpet industry. She worked faithfully for Sweetwater Carpets for several years and also Shaw Industries until her retirement. Mrs. Adkins was an avid shopper and enjoyed taking trips to Gatlinburg and Graceland. She enjoyed drinking her coffee and bowling in a league. When at home, she enjoyed watching crime, drama, and Christmas shows. Everyone knew she was a huge Elvis fan, but most of all she looked forward to spending time with her family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jewell Grant; and a brother, Johnny Headrick.
Mrs. Adkins was survived by one daughter, Kelly (Jimmy) Yarbrough and a son, Jeff Caudill; one sister, Rena Peters; five brothers, Harold Headrick, Richard (Carolyn) Headrick, Thurman (Billie) Headrick, Lamar Headrick, and Donny (Helen) Headrick ;brother-in-law, R C Grant; two grandchildren, Shelby (Ethan) Shupe and Rick (Josie) Yarbrough; special nieces, Missy (Butch) Oliver and Rhonda (Dennis) Killian; numerous other nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia on Saturday, October 26, 2024, 1 p.m. with Reverend D.J. Carlton officiating. Interment will follow at Catoosa Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ed Vickery, Tony Thatch, Rick Yarbrough, Ethan Shupe, Keith Callahan, and Nathan Sims. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. and also on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 12 noon till 1 p.m.
