Katherine “Kathy” Marlin Summers age 66, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and grew up on Misson Ridge Road in Rossville, Georgia. For the last nine years Kathy has resided at NHC of Fort Oglethorpe. In her early years, she participated in Lookout Mountain Community Services in Chickamauga, Georgia and most recently enjoyed participating in the activities at NHC. The family would like to thank NHC of Fort Oglethorpe for their special care and devotion to Kathy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry H. Summers and Wavolene Coates Summers, and brother, Pete Summers.
She is survived by her brother, Phil (Terran) Summers; sister-in-law, Brenda Summers; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, as well as family special friend, Jimmy “Wink” Baker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Homes Wallis ~ Stewart Chapel in Ringgold, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at Tennessee ~ Georgia Memorial Park on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry Burns officiating.
