Kenneth Ray Jones, age 90 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia, TN to the late James “Jim” Jones and Abbey Jane Hughes Jones. Ken has lived in the Chickamauga area for more than 70 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Chickamauga. He worked in the carpet industry for most of his career, retiring from Aamco Fabrics after more than 25 years. He was a devoted follower of Jesus, loved his family and church, and was an avid Tennessee Volunteer Fan. Ken was also a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Walker Jones; granddaughter, Rebecca Jones Simpson; siblings, Glenn Jones, Clarence Jones, Mary Blevins, Edith Jones, Roy Jones, Bill Jones, Tom Jones, and Nell Blunt. Ken is survived by his loving sons, Mark Jones(Karen Murphy) and Tony Jones(Kym Jones); sister, Blanche Randolph; grandchildren, Rachel Jones and Trevor (Taylor) Jones; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Michael Savadge officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday and prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga.
