Michael Herrell, age 62, resident of Trion, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Mr. Herrell, son of the late Charles Roy Herrell, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Herrell, was born November 4,1963 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the American Trucker’s Association. Mr. Herrell worked for many years at Brunswick Lanes Bowling Alley in Hixson, Tennessee. He later teamed up with his brother as a truck driver and drove for over 35 years all over the United States. Mr. Herrell enjoyed going to classic car shows and model car shows as well. He was one that went to flea markets and was known as an avid shopper. Mr. Herrell also enjoyed taking cruises and working on electronic devices and computers. While at home, many would find him listening to both classic southern rock and country music; watching classic western shows (particularly Yellowstone); and playing video games. Most of all, he always looked forward to spending quality time with his family, especially his daughter and granddaughter. The family remembers him not only as a trucker, but as a loving family man with a big heart, who was a great father and grandfather.
