Mr. Bernard Delbert Blue Jr.

Bernard “Bernie” Delbert Blue, Jr., 51, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024. He was born in Flint, Michigan and spent his childhood in Englewood, Florida. Bernie served his country in the U.S. Army and was a proud veteran. After serving his country, he resided in El Paso, Texas before moving back to Englewood, FL and working with his father: “Bud,” in their family business: Blu-Kon Windows. He has resided in the LaFayette area for the past thirteen years. Bernie loved riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and had rode all over the United States. He was a member, former president and Sergeant of Arms with A.R.M. - Association of Recovering Motorcyclist, where he went by “Blue.” Bernie had a big heart and loved animals. He would take in just about any stray and sometimes that even included humans. Bernie is preceded in death by his father: Bernard “Bud” Delbert Blue, Sr., grandmothers: Josephine Blue, Pauline Blue, Patricia Griffis, grandfathers: Bernard Blue and Herbert Griffis. He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years: Renee Michele Carter Blue of LaFayette, GA, their children: Sierra (Robert) Johnson of Adairsville, GA, Keaton (fiancé: Blakely) Blue of LaFayette, GA, grandson: Alexander Johnson, his mother: Judith “Judy” Ann Griffis Blue of Chickamauga, GA, sister: Shannon Blue of LaFayette, GA, brother: Bryan (Olga) Blue of North Port, FL, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday morning from 9:00 am until the service. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am - Tuesday - December 31, 2024 in the chapel. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Veterans National Cemetery – Chattanooga, Tennessee.
