Jessie Lucille Shephard Tracy age 82, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at her home. She was born on March 14, 1942 in LaFayette, Georgia to the late Frank and Clarace West Shephard. She retired from Mohawk Industries after thirty-five years of employment. As a child, she attended Walnut Grove Baptist Church and most recently Stone Ridge Community Church. She enjoyed watching the Western channel, going shopping at thrift stores and flea markets. She also enjoyed cooking for others and going out to eat at Mexican and Chinese restaurants. She is preceded in death by her mother and step-father: Clarace and Leonard Goodson, husbands: James Hill, Bill Fielding, and Paul Tracey, brother: Leonard Felton Goodson and son-in-law: Ricky Smith. Jessie is survived by her children: Renee Smith of LaFayette, GA, Brian (Debbie) Hill of South Carolina, Jenine (Ron) Marshall of LaFayette, GA, brother: Don Goodson of Chickamauga, GA, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Ron Marshall, Lee McKeehan, David Pittman, Anthony Hood, Dale Lawhorn and Mikel Paul served as pallbearers. A graveside service was held on Thursday at 4:00 pm – October 31, 2024 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes - LaFayette Chapel.
