Nancy Jane Hogsed, age 62, resident of Rossville, Georgia, passed away at her residence on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
Mrs. Hogsed, daughter of the late Clarence Junior Taylor and Nancy Carolyn Ross Taylor, was born July 18, 1962 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was Baptist by faith and had formerly worked at First Baptist Church in the Pre-School. Mrs. Hogsed enjoyed crocheting/sewing; listening to all genres of music; and playing with her dog Jake. Most of all, she looked forward to spending quality time with her kids. The family remembers her as a lady with a good heart – one who was kind to everyone.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dexter Leon Hogsed; step-father, Bill Rowe; and maternal grandparents, Samuel and Christine Ross.
Mrs. Hogsed is survived by one daughter, Candise Hogsed; two sons, Cliff Hogsed and Wayne Hogsed; three sisters, Tammy (Brian) Thomason, BJ (Greg) Jetter, and Angerleak (John) Kile; one brother, Eddie (Kim) Taylor; seven grandchildren: Blake, Aaron, Jordan, Madison, Megan, Caleigh, and Jessen; 11 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2024, 12 noon with Pastor Steve Brandon officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 3-8 p.m. and also on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 11am till 12 noon.
