Norma Jean (Parsons) Hodge, age 74, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on March 14, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Norma was a devoted follower of Christ and a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She lived her life in a way that reflected her deep faith, and those who knew her witnessed a genuine example of what it means to lead a life guided by love, forgiveness, and joy.
Throughout her life, Norma faced many obstacles that might have left others with bitterness, yet she chose to see the good in every situation. And when life didn’t offer a positive narrative, she always had a joke tucked away in her back pocket, ready for the moment. Her whimsical, childlike spirit and infectious laugh brought light and comfort to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though her family mourns the loss of her kind smile and forgiving heart, they find comfort in the many cherished memories she leaves behind, along with the legacy of love, light, and faith that defined her life.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman Parsons and Farris Parsons (Hughes); her brothers, Edward Parsons and Fred Parsons; and her sisters, Virginia Keith and Peggy Cabe.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Terri Kay) Morrison and Stephen Morrison; her sisters, Rhonda Clayton, Brenda Clowers, Thelma Hinds and Stella Jenkins; her brothers, Leonard Parsons and Gary Parsons; and her beloved grandchildren, Kelsey Morrison, Makayla Morrison, Gavin Morrison, Kristin Adams and Carrie Brown.
Her family will forever carry her laughter, her faith, and the gentle reminder she gave them each day that love and kindness are the greatest gifts we leave behind.
