Patricia “Patsy” Branam, age 69, long time resident of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at her son’s residence.
Patsy, daughter of the late Stewart Kelly and Betty Pauline Liles Kelly, was born February 20, 1955, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
She was Baptist by faith, and during her working career she worked at American Saddle, Big Horn, Mohawk, Save-A-Lot, and Mary Martha. Patsy enjoyed fishing, camping, and taking trips with her family to Harrah’s Casino Resort in Cherokee, NC. When at home, she enjoyed cooking for family and friends; listening to her audio Bible and Christian music; and watching Christian movies, TV drama shows, and soap operas. But most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. The family remembers her as a caring, giving lady with a big heart – one who loved her family immensely.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Carol Day, and two brothers, Billy Kelly and John Kelly.
She is survived by one daughter, Tonya Pickett; two sons, Shannon (Melissa) Holcomb and James (Danielle) Branam; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one niece, Donna & (Michael) Sherrill; one nephew, Billy (Amy) Kelly; special friend of over 50 years, Larry Williams; other relatives and friends; and her dogs, Girl and Bandit.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Monday, October 7, 2024, 12 noon, with Reverend Neal Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park, Rossville, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 1-7 p.m. and Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10 a.m. till 12 noon.
