Phyllis Ann Rouse

Phyllis Ann Rouse, 82, of Rossville, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday June 4, 2026. She was born March 23, 1944. A daughter of the late John and Willie Dodd Scott.

She was a long-time member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she was active in the nursery, JOY circle, the food ministry and Vacation Bible School. She was a big UTC fan where she sewed uniforms for the football team, loved the Tennessee Vols and the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Mrs. Rouse was a 1962 graduate of Rossville High School and graduated from McKenzie College in 1988. She and her late husband loved traveling where they traveled to all fifty states and also enjoyed Hawaiian and Alaskan cruises.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Rouse.

Survivors include her sons, John (Glenda) Rouse, Scott Rouse (Vicki Davis); sister Bobbie (Butch) Scott; grandchildren, Ariel Yarber, Jordan Rouse, Cameron Rouse, Shelby Walcott; great-grandchildren, Mattox Yarber and Brooklynn Yarber; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Parkside Nursing Home and Willowbrook Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for their mother.

Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Phyllis Rouse will be held at 11 AM on Saturday June 13th in the Heritage Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Dale Kidd officiating. Pallbearers will be Jacob Walcott, Jordan Rouse, Cameron Rouse, Jake Yarber, Mattox Yarber and Gary McGaughey. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday June 12th. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
