Randall “Buddy” Ray Johnson, age 84 of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2024, surrounded by his family. Randall was born to the late Winfred Johnson and Evalee Moody Johnson in Pikeville, TN, has lived in the North Geogia area for over 50 years, and was a member of Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle. He retired from The Coca-Cola Company in 2001 and from the Catoosa County Board of Education in 2021. Randall and his wife Barbara were charter members of Anchor of Hope Baptist Church and he served as a deacon for many churches in the area. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and camping with the last big trip to Alaska, for 5 weeks. Randall loved the Lord, lived his life as a servant of Jesus, singing in many quartets through the years with a beautiful bass voice. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. Randall was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Oliva Ashleigh Johnson; and sisters, Yvonne McPeak, Dorothy Lockhart, and Jeralline Deweese. He is survived by his loving wife, of 41 years, Barbara “BJ” Miller Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Becca Johnson; grandchildren, Corbin Johnson and Gavin Johnson; extended family The Thompsons and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 24, 2024 in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Justin Gazaway and Bro. Brian Haney officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friend from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday and prior to the service on Sunday. In Lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to Habitat for Humanity at www.habitat.org. The family would also like to thank the staff of Hearth Hospice, Misty and Rhonda for the love and support during this difficult time.
