Ritchie “Ritch” DeWayne Caylor, age 63, of East Ridge, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Ritchie moved to the North Georgia area at a young age and made it his lifelong home. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later built a respected career as a master carpenter, specializing in trim and finish work. Ritchie was known for his craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Sportster alongside his family and spending time outdoors discovering his favorite hunting and fishing spots. Above all, Ritchie treasured the time he shared with those he loved.

Ritchie was devoted to his family and friends whose presence and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Caylor Sr. and Elizabeth “Libby” Caylor, and Rev. Buddy Mathis Sr. and Verna Mathis.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Joy Mathis Caylor and Paul “Chigger” Caylor Jr.; sons, Michael Wayne Caylor and Glenn Paul Caylor; siblings, Sherri Caylor (Mark) Davis, Debbie Caylor (Dutch) Magrath, and Terry Wade Caylor; grandson, Zaine; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Pastor Dan Mouw officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and prior to leaving for the cemetery on Friday.
