Ronald Ray McGill

Ronald Ray McGill, age 80, of Summerville, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Ronald was a 1964 graduate of Chattooga High School and worked at Roper until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diann McGill; two sons, Patrick McGill and Daniel McGill; parents, Mack and Doris McGill; and brother, Michael McGill.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Charlotte Keen McGill; daughters, Leigh Ane McGill and Shana Green; stepdaughter, Rebecca Dianne Taylor; stepson, Jeff Allen (Lisa) Keen; grandchildren, Caleb McGill, Lucas Pledger, Rebeccah Kinsey, Melanie McGill, Nikolas McGill, and Lauren McGill; great-granddaughter, Zoe Pledger; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 6, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Madison Ledford officiating.

Interment will take place at LaFayette City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jamey Ferguson, Ty Ferguson, Carter Ferguson, Kenny Sartin, Josh Brown, and Lucas Pledger.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 pm to the hour of service at the funeral home.
