Rosetta Wilson

Rosetta Wilson, age 88, resident of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at her daughter’s home.
Mrs. Wilson, daughter of the late Otis William Hill and Lennie Irene Henderson Hill, was born October 10, 1937 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was longtime employee of Raymond James in Chattanooga before retiring in 1995. Mrs. Wilson attended Nellie Head Baptist Church; enjoyed traveling to Panama City Beach; and going on trips to the casino in Tunica, Mississippi. Mrs. Wilson was an avid bowler and bowled in the Senior League in Chattanooga. While at home, many would find her watching the “black and white classics;” gameshows; and listening to Elvis and big-band music. The family remembers her as a lady who was well known to many, having lifelong friends and connections; and one who loved her family immensely.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Hemstreet and Mary Sims; and grandson, Spencer Michael Beckstead.
She is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Jack Wilson; two daughters, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Mark) Walls and Jennifer “Jen” (Justin) Calhoun; one step-son, Buddy (Jean) Wilson; seven grandchildren, Brian (Gina) Wilson, Christina (Bryan) Jenkins, Brianna (Dylan) Davis, Austin (Morgan) Bryant, Payne Beckstead, Sophie Beckstead, and McKenna Calhoun; eleven great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; her “special child”, Franklin; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, 1 p.m. with Reverend David Nix officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South, 325 Greens Lake Road, Rossville, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. and also prior to the service on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 11 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.
