Roxie Arlene Harmon Ray age 85, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at her home that she loved so much. Roxie was born on June 20, 1939 in Franklin, Pennsylvania to the late John Blair and Lillian Clara Rankin Harmon, their third of twelve children. She moved to Chickamauga in 1970, where she enjoyed and loved life in the Cove Community. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Roxie had worked as a CNA for many years and enjoyed taking care of others. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: John Clayton Ray, sisters: Betty Peebles, Midge Pennington and brother: James Harmon. Roxie is survived by her children: Roy Milton Ray of Chickamauga, GA, Byron (Diane) Clayton Ray of LaFayette, GA, Erla Arlene Ray of Chickamauga, GA, Lisa (Robert) Hakes of Ringgold, GA, grandchildren: Richard Ray, Amanda Ray, great-grandchildren: Arlene and Christopher Ray all of Chickamauga, GA, special and dear friend: Ray Kingsley of Chickamauga, GA, sisters: Lois Smith, Pat Kellogg both of Titusville, PA, Nettie Andrews and Nancy Queen both of Portland, OR, Kay Kellogg of California, Teresa Whitman of Colorado, brothers: Russell “Elmer” Harmon and Donnie Harmon both of Ringgold, GA, several nieces and nephews.
