Thomas "Tommy" B. Kean Obituary

Thomas Benton Kean, 95, of Rossville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Monday, April 27th, 2026. Tommy was born October 9th, 1930 in Fort Payne, Alabama to the late Thomas Britton and Allie Shankles Kean. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia/Chattanooga area. Tommy was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Church, where he served faithfully for many years as a deacon. He was the proud co-owner/operator of Tennesco Inc. Tommy loved golfing and playing other sports with his wife, Betty.

Tommy is preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 75 years, Betty Sue Kean; daughters, Karen Kean and Debbie (Lanny) Handy; granddaughter, Esther (Tyler) Harley; brother, Bobby (Mary-Grace) Kean; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday at Parkway Baptist Church with Dr. David Sampson officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends 4-8 PM, Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Fort Oglethorpe and 12-2 PM, Friday at the church before the service.
