Virgina Jo “Pat” Day Rogers

Virgina Jo “Pat” Day Rogers age 84, of Rock Spring, Georgia went home to be with The Lord Thursday, December 5, 2024, as she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Rosalie, Alabama to the late Curtis and Della Bailey Day. She resided most of her life in Rossville, Georgia. She was a former member of Union Avenue Baptist Church, most recently attended Old Fort Baptist Church and loved her Lord God. Along with her husband, she was the owner and operator of Ed’s Butcher Block in Rossville, Georgia for more than twenty-eight years. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Pat had a love for others, especially for those in need. She was a hard-working woman of God, who loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren more than anything on this earth. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years: Charles Edward “Ed” Rogers, Sr., their son: Charles Edward “Butch” Rogers, Jr., beloved daughter-in-law: Una Rogers, sisters: Lottie Brock, Iula Richardson, brothers: Bobby Ray Day, Lebron Day, Cecil “Doc” Day. She is survived by her daughter: Deborah (Nelson) Babcock of Rock Spring, GA, grandchildren: Melissa (Sean) Hackett, Adam (Brittany) Babcock, Christopher Babcock, James (Sebrina) Free, Timmy Joe (Angie) Smith, eight great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday an hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon - Tuesday - December 10, 2024 in the chapel with Reverend Tim Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, Rossville, Georgia.
