Willie Margaret “Meggie” Sharrock, age 93, resident of Ringgold, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2024.
Mrs. Sharrock, daughter of the late Johnie William Guffey and Ella Vie Cooksey Guffey, was born July 21, 1931 in Albany, Kentucky. She was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Ringgold, Georgia and retired as a Dietician from NHC Ringgold. Mrs. Sharrock enjoyed cooking for family and friends and working on word puzzles. When she was outside, growing and keeping up a flower garden was very important to her. The family remembers her as a Godly woman, loving wife, and mother.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Buster and Harold Buster; a daughter, Sherrie Cooper; four brothers, Kenneth Guffey, Carl Guffey, Dale Guffey, and Vernon Guffey; and one brother-in-law, Bobby Sharrock.
She is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Eugene “Gene” Sharrock; one son, Dannie Buster; four sisters, Alice (Daniel) Delinski, Sue (John) Burns, Patsy Phillips, and Mary (Lloyd) Blevins; one brother, Donnie (Carolyn) Guffey; three step-children, Billy Joe Sharrock, Cor+y Sharrock, and Crystal Sharrock; one brother-in-law, Charles Sharrock; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled at Faith Baptist Church, 308 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 12 noon with Reverend Jimmy Thompson and Reverend Levoyd Whitton officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee/Georgia Memorial Park, Ringgold, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home Wallis Stewart Chapel, Ringgold, Georgia on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 3-8 p.m. and also on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 10 a.m. till 12 noon at Faith Baptist Church.
