Wilma Ann McDaniel, 92, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed to her heavenly home on January 7, 2025, at home in the presence of family members.
Ann was born in LaFayette, Georgia on June 9, 1932, the daughter of the late Arlen McDaniel and Eunice Ballard McDaniel. She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church and dearly loved the members of her Sunday School class.
Ann worked for DuPont in Chattanooga, from 1954 through April 30, 1985, at which time she retired and became a member of the DuPont Retirees Association.
Ann also served as President of the Northgate Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Jack McDaniel, Bill McDaniel and Alan McDaniel as well as her sister-in-law Janet Collett McDaniel, and by her special friend Bill McNabb.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Montene McDaniel, widow of Jack and Gail McDaniel, widow of Alan, of Cartersville, Georgia as well as several nieces, a nephew and several cousins.
A special thanks to Hearth Hospice as well as Amber Willis, Ardent Senior Care, and her staff who provided the very best care Ann could have possibly received. Amber loved Ann and cared for her as if she were a family member.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. with the funeral immediately following in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette, Georgia with Sonny Mays officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery, LaFayette, Georgia.
Pallbearers will be Maurice Shattuck, Heath Hinkle, Raymond Power, Kent Wallace, Jim Ransom and Jason Shattuck.
