Walker County voters will head to the polls June 17th for a Special Primary Election to fill Public Service Commissioner seats for Districts 2 and 3. These commissioners play a key role in regulating utilities like electricity and gas across Georgia, making this election especially important for residents. Officials remind voters to check their registration status and learn about the candidates ahead of time to ensure a smooth voting experience. Due to construction at Georgia Northwestern Technical College, the usual polling location in the 500 Building will temporarily move to the 600 Building on the same campus. Clear signs will be posted to guide voters. This change may also affect the potential runoff election set for July 15th. The Walker County Board of Elections encourages all eligible voters to participate
