Only one felony arrests in Walker County on Saturday. 20-year-old Devon Todd Russell was arrested on multiple charges including, aggravated assault, battery, criminal trespassing, driving on a suspended license, open container, DUI and hit and run. The Walker County Animal Shelter will be closed today and tomorrow for building maintenance.
The Walker County Health Department has released its latest round of restaurant inspection scores, and several local establishments earned perfect marks.
Topping the list with a score of 100:
- VFW Post 3679 at 98 Memorial Drive in Rossville,
- Walker County Nutrition Center at 636 South Main Street in La Fayette,
- Candlelight Forest on Highway 193 in Chickamauga,
- Hidden Hollow Resort, also in Chickamauga,
- And Baby Hughy’s Pizza & Burgers.
Two restaurants received scores of 96 this week:
- Amigos Mexican Cocina, LLC, located at 55 McFarland Avenue in Rossville,
- And Hank’s Smokehouse, found at 2661 Highway 27 in La Fayette.
