Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene paid a visit to the Roper GE Appliance Plant in LaFayette yesterday, praising the facility as a “Made in America” success story. Greene noted the plant produces a finished appliance every 15 seconds, using all American steel. The company supplies cooktops and stoves to more than half of U.S. homes. She called the tour a pleasure and applauded the workers for their dedication and impact on American manufacturing.
It’s been a bumpy start to the school year in Catoosa County, where parents are dealing with changing bus schedules and routes. The school district says it’s still short on drivers, forcing some families to make last-minute pickup plans. Spokeswoman Marissa Brower says no routes have been canceled, and new drivers are being brought in with starting pay now at $20 an hour. She adds that while delays may happen, buses will run—and the district will keep parents informed every step of the way.
