The Chattooga County Coroner’s Office and Georgia State Patrol are investigating a fatal crash in Summerville. It happened last night on the 6500 block of Dry Creek Road, where a motorcycle and a sedan collided. Coroner Jeremy McElhaney says the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, with more details expected soon.
Four felony arrests in Walker County on Wednesday. Among those arrested, 35-year-old Nicholas Kevin Thomas. He was booked on aggravated stalking and burglary. 42-year-old Kristen Marie Odell was arrested on a charge of criminal damage.
Walker County Restaurant Health Inspections shows a 95 for the Clubhouse at the Lookout Mountain Golf Club. Moon Bottom in Flintstone scored a 100. Wonderland in Rising Fawn received a 95. It’s a 92 for Los Potros in Chickamauga.
The LaFayette High School volleyball team fell to Calhoun last night in the Region Championship game. The Yellowjackets won in three sets. The loss drops the Ramblers to 34-10 on the season. LaFayette will host the first round of the GHSA State Tournament starting on Wednesday of next week.
