A woman is facing multiple charges after authorities say she caused a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle Tuesday evening, then fled the scene on foot.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident happened around 6 p.m. on November 11 along GA-1/US 27 at Chambers Street. Investigators say a gray Chevrolet Traverse driven by 42-year-old Christine Elizabeth Millraney was traveling north on GA-1 when she turned left onto Chambers Street in front of a southbound Suzuki motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was struck and found unresponsive at the scene. Emergency crews transported the rider to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment.

GSP said Millraney continued driving after the initial collision, striking a Chrysler van that was stopped at a stop sign on Chambers Road. She then fled the scene on foot. Witnesses identified her to law enforcement, and Walker County deputies later located her at her home.

Troopers say Millraney was intoxicated at the time of the crash. She was arrested and charged with DUI, hit and run, serious injury by motor vehicle, and several other traffic-related offenses.

Millraney is currently being held at the Walker County Detention Center.
