Channing Wilson stole the show on Episode 6 of CBS TV’s The Road last night, delivering what judges called the standout performance of the night as the competition hit its halfway point. After a group performance of “Sweet Home Alabama,” Wilson closed the episode with his original “Real Damn Country Song.” Keith Urban and Dustin Lynch praised his authenticity, saying he continues to separate himself from the pack. Cassidy Daniels topped the audience vote, while Billie Jo Jones and Jenny Tolman landed in the bottom two. Tolman was eliminated. The Road continues next week, with Wilson emerging as a leading contender.
