A special election has been scheduled to fill the Georgia State Senate seat vacated by Colton Moore. Governor Brian Kemp has issued the order this week. The Governor has set Tuesday, March tenth as the date for the special election in Senate District fifty-three. The vacancy was created after Moore qualified earlier this month to run for Georgia’s Fourteenth Congressional District seat in the U.S. House. The election will be administered by the Secretary of State’s office, with the winner filling the vacant Senate seat. March 10th is also the date for the election to fill the 14th Congressional seat in the House.
