          Four People have been  arrested on felony charges in the latest report from the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.   Thirty-eight-year-old Billy Joe Dykes was charged with possession of methamphetamine, abandonment of drugs, and public intoxication. Thirty-two-year-old Brian Austin Kirby was taken into custody on a felony charge of failure to appear in court.  And forty-four-year-old Amber Nicole Mathis was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.  In a separate case, thirty-seven-year-old Chappell Jermaine Taylor was arrested on felony charges of possession of a Schedule One controlled substance and driving on a suspended license. The outcome of all the cases are pending trial.

          The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating one of its most wanted suspects.  Forty-five-year-old Tiffany Marie Bell is currently on the sheriff’s office Most Wanted list. Authorities say Bell is wanted on a felony warrant for possession of fentanyl.  Bell is described as five feet nine inches tall, weighing around one hundred eighty pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.  Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Walker County Sheriff’s Office at 706-670-1921, or by calling 706-638-1909, extension 1221.

Residents across Walker County are being asked to help shape the community’s future.  Walker County, along with the cities of Rossville, Chickamauga, LaFayette, and Lookout Mountain, is gathering public input for its Joint Comprehensive Plan, which is updated every five years. The plan helps guide decisions on economic development, housing, transportation, recreation, community facilities, and the protection of natural and historic resources.  Officials say past community input has helped move projects forward, including park improvements, new housing developments, and expanded high-speed internet in LaFayette.  Residents are encouraged to take part by completing a short survey available online.And you can find that link on our website, discover walker dot com.

The search continues in locating a missing man from Chickamauga.  Investigators say Tyler Gann was last seen at his home on March eighth in the Bowen Lane area. Authorities say he is believed to be driving a burgundy 19-99 Ford F-150 with Georgia tag P-L-F seven-zero-three-zero.  Detectives report Gann was seen on camera March eleventh driving on Cloud Springs Road in Fort Oglethorpe.  Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Daniel Stephenson with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office at 706-670-1938, or submit an anonymous tip through the sheriff’s office website.
