A Rossville woman is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly leading law enforcement on a pursuit through Hamilton and Bradley counties in a stolen vehicle Thursday afternoon.

According to an arrest report obtained by Local 3 News, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies identified a vehicle bearing a Florida license plate that had been reported stolen out of Chattanooga. When a deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the driver, identified as 26-year-old Nikki Conley of Rossville, reportedly refused to stop and continued traveling at a high rate of speed.

Authorities said a passenger inside the vehicle called 911 during the pursuit, telling dispatchers that Conley would not stop and was refusing to let him out of the vehicle. Deputies reported the passenger was seen with his hands outside the vehicle while the chase was underway.

Officials said Conley also contacted 911 and reportedly informed dispatchers that she was not going to stop for law enforcement.

The pursuit continued into Bradley County, where assisting law enforcement officers successfully deployed spike strips near Exit 20, bringing the chase to an end.

Following her arrest, deputies said Conley claimed she did not know the vehicle was stolen because she had been renting it. However, she admitted she fled from law enforcement because she had outstanding warrants in Georgia. Authorities did not release details about the warrants.

Investigators said Conley told deputies she was in a relationship with the passenger. The passenger, however, reportedly told officers he repeatedly asked her to stop during the pursuit and feared for his safety.

While being processed at the Hamilton County Jail, deputies allegedly discovered approximately 7.1 grams of suspected fentanyl powder in Conley’s possession.

Conley has been charged with evading arrest, reckless endangerment, kidnapping, theft of property, contraband in a penal institution, and possession of drugs for resale.

She was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, June 12.
