The Walker County Chamber is hosting a meet the candidate’s event. It’s happening April 23rd from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring. Among the candidates invited to participate, State Senator from the 53rd District, State Supreme Court Judge, Walker County Commissioner Chair, District 3 and 4 Board of Commissioners, Coroner and Sheriff. Election day is May 21st.
More information on the dirt bike crash that killed a Catoosa County man. 47-year-old Robert Micah Boaz was killed in a crash in the Prentice Cooper Wildlife Management Area in Tennessee. Boaz was found around 2pm on Tuesday. Officials say that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The Nashville Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting the autopsy. The investigation is continuing.
A firefighter in Dade County sustained an injury while battling a wildfire. Details of the incident are still emerging. The firefighter has yet to be identified. The individual was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in good spirits.
