Gas prices across the state have increased in the last week. According to AAA the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Georgia is $2.94 per gallon. Despite the slight up tick in gas prices, AAA says you’re still paying about $7 less at the pump to fill up today than you did a year ago. Locally gas prices in Walker, Catoosa and Dade Counties average $2.68 a gallon for regular unleaded. That remains the best gas prices in the state. A gallon of regular unleaded across the nation averages better than $3 a gallon at $3.12.
If you want to learn more about sever weather in our area, you can become a storm spotter for the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service offers a free class to teach you how to properly spot and report severe weather in your community. This will be an in-person Basic Spotter Training Class led by a meteorologist from the National Weather Service in Peachtree City. The class is happening Friday, March 28th at 10AM – 1230PM at the College and Career Academy in Ringgold GA.
