There were two felony arrests in Walker County on Sunday. 40-year-old Chad Benjamin Fitzsimmons was arrested on multiple drug charges including DUI, possession of meth, cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana. 50-year-old Mark Thomas Ferguson was booked on charges of false statements, obstruction of law enforcement and harassing communication.

Gas prices are holding steady across the state. According to AAA gas prices for regular unleaded remain $2.91 per gallon across the state. Locally a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.81. Nationwide gas prices are up slightly, about three cents more than last week. $3.15 is the average price across the country.
More than 212,000 pounds of egg substitutes have been pulled from store shelves due to the possibility of containing bleach. According to CNN the items included in the recall are: 32-ounce cartons of Egg Beaters Original, Cage-Free Original, and Cage-Free Original Frozen Liquid Egg Substitute with certain “use by” dates. Bob Evans Better’n Eggs with real egg whites is also part of the recall. The recalled items have “G-1-8-0-4” on the carton. The products were believed to be sent to distributors and food service establishments nationwide. So far there have been no reports of people getting sick from the products. If you have any of these products in your fridge, throw them out immediately.
