A winter storm warning is in effect until 7am tomorrow morning.
Governor Brian Kemp has declared a state wide state of emergency. The measure is in effect through Tuesday. The state of emergency allows the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security to mobilize any needed resources to address potential impacts from the storm.

There is no school today, all the schools in our area are closed. That includes GNTC and UTC. Government offices in Walker, Dade, Catoosa and Chattooga Counties are also closed today. Basketball from last night. The LaFayette Ramblers dropped both games against Northwest Whitfield. The LaFayette girls are now 10-6 after losing 72-58. The boys lost 54-40 to Northwest Whitfield. The game was originally scheduled for tonight. Due to the weather, they were moved to last night.
