A wind advisory is in effect for North Georgia until 2pm today. Winds are expected to be around 15-20 mph with gusts up to 40mph. The higher elevations could see more intense winds.

Catoosa County Republicans continued the debate Monday night over why specific candidates for the county commission should be put onto the primary ballot, despite of efforts to leave them off. The Catoosa County GOP said the four were initially left off the primary ballot because they had a history of not following the party’s platform. A judge ruled earlier this month that the four had to be included. Voters got the chance to voice their opinion on the matter last night at a town hall in Fort Oglethorpe.

Walker County Schools will hold a town hall meeting tomorrow night. The meeting will happen in the Ridgeland High School theater and will begin at 5:45pm. Superintendent Damon Rains will present the strategic plan for the school system and discuss things that are happening in the district. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The LaFayette High School boys and girls golf teams were in action yesterday. Both teams battled the wind to fourth place finishes in the Jacket Invitational. The event was held at Fields Ferry Golf Club in Calhoun. Senior Mason Thompson shot a 75 that tied him for second individually. Sophomore Hayden Bowman shot a 76 to tie for third. The boys are back on Thursday at Barnsley Gardens. The girls team will break for Spring Break before they are back on April 8th in Carrollton.

Rambler baseball was supposed to face Bream today. Due to potential weather conditions the game has been moved to Wednesday at 5pm. The game will be played a LaFayette High School.
