The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help.  Authorities are searching for three males who broke into a home just after 4:30 Monday morning.  The three men stole several items.  The residence was in the 1000 block of Ridgeland Road in Rossville.  If you have any information about the burglary please call the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office is also asking for help in locating a missing person.  68-year-old Phyllis Kilgore was last seen in Rock Spring on March 29th.  She drives a red 2014 Hyundai Elantra with Tennessee tags.  Phyllis maybe in the company of her daughter, Jennifer Kilgore, who is special needs.  Authorities say she may be in the Cherokee Alabama area.  If you know anything about her whereabouts, please call the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.
Work has started on paving roads in Walker County.  Work started yesterday on Greenhill Drive in the Mountain View subdivision.  Walker County asks residents to not blow leaves or grass on to the road or park vehicles on the road while paving work is being done.
According to Triple-A more than 1.3 million Georgia residents will be traveling at least 50 miles on Memorial Day weekend.  Triple-A predicts it will be the second highest traveled Memorial Day on record nationwide.  Approximately 43.8 million people across the country will hit the road or the air.  The record was set in 2005 when 44-million traveled.  Memorial Day is considered the unofficial start of summer.
