The City of LaFayette has announced that city offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, in observance of Veterans Day.
The holiday closure will also result in a change to the city’s regular trash collection schedule for residents who normally receive service on Wednesdays.
According to city officials, all trash collection normally scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, will instead take place on Thursday, November 12.
Residents affected by the schedule change are encouraged to plan accordingly and have their trash ready for collection on Thursday.
Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11 to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
