Georgians have until Monday, October 5, to register to vote in the upcoming midterm elections, which include races for governor and U.S. Senate.
The deadline applies to residents who have recently turned 18, moved to Georgia, changed addresses within the state, or have never registered to vote.
State political parties are making final efforts to encourage voter turnout ahead of the election, with both Republicans and Democrats pointing to what they describe as strong voter interest.
Voters can check their registration status and register online through the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, with early voting scheduled to begin Tuesday, October 13, and continue through Friday, October 30.
Voters who have moved within Georgia should make sure their registration information and address are up to date before the October 5 deadline.
