A small coffee shop in Rossville is preparing to close its doors after three years in business, with the owners citing a deeply personal family matter behind the decision.

According to a post shared on social media, Buenos Dias Coffee announced it will be selling the business and relocating to Mexico after the family’s mother was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is now facing deportation.

“She is currently still in custody,” the family wrote in the post.

The coffee shop, located on Chickamauga Avenue, became known in the community for its coffee, food, and efforts to share Latin culture with customers.

The family said remaining together during the situation became their top priority.

“Because family is our highest priority, my siblings and I have decided to close the shop and relocate to Mexico so that we can remain together and support her,” the post stated.

The owners also expressed gratitude to the Rossville community for supporting the business over the past three years.

“We wanted to start this coffee shop to share our love for great coffee, Latin culture and be a place where you can hang out with friends and family,” the family wrote.

During its time in business, Buenos Dias Coffee developed a loyal customer base and became a gathering place for residents throughout the area.

The family has not announced an official closing date but says updates will be shared with customers in the near future.
