Walker County Schools Superintendent Damon Raines has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to education, receiving the Superintendent of the Year Award during the Georgia Head Start Association Spring Conference.
Raines was nominated for the honor by the Family Resource Agency of North Georgia and was selected from among nominees representing 32 Head Start programs across Georgia.
The award recognizes superintendents who demonstrate exceptional leadership, support educational opportunities for young learners, and work to strengthen partnerships that benefit children and families within their communities.
